JDM

The Japanese Domestic Market provided greater variety to the 2nd generation CRX buyer by including the choice of a 1.5 dual carb engine not available to the UK.

There have been quite a few JDM models imported into the UK.

JDM models are also available with the following options that were not offered to the UK market; factory fit LSD, air conditioning, a toughened smoked glass roof (which means no sunroof option).

JDM Models have plastic headlamp lenses rather than the glass lenses in UK cars, JDM lenses also have a different bulb design which is not compatible with UK bulbs and lights. 90-92 JDM Si models come with the raised VTEC style bonnet. All JDM cars have body coloured mirrors, door handles and rear spoiler.

All models have independent suspension, the Si ands SiR have front and rear disk brakes, all other models have disks at the front and drums at the rear.

There are several limited editions of the CRX that were released to the JDM market;

  • Si Exclusive: fitted with caramel leather interior, climate control, ALB, bronze tinted windows, glass roof, in black only.
  • G-Special: tweed style interior, bronze tinted windows, glass roof, folding mirrors.
  • Limited Edition: two tone interior, bronze tinted windows, special alloy wheels.
  • Limited Edition 2: two tone interior, leather lining, bronze tinted windows, special aero style alloys.
  • Style-S: two tone interior, leather lining, bronze tinted windows, two tone body colour.
  • Style-S 2: two tone interior, leather lining, bronze tinted windows, folding mirrors, two tone body colour.
  • Style-S Type B: special seats, leather lining, bronze tinted windows, folding mirrors, special alloys, two tone body colour.
