Honda Civic and CRX Information Pages

I have just posted a whole load of information on early Honda Civics and CRXs to my blog. These posts come from the time I was an active member of the UKs largest Honda owners club and originally created the posts to be information posted on my website.

Well that was several years ago and my website no longer exists and I figured I may as well dump the information onto this blog as it may help someone and I didn’t want to waste the effort that I put into creating the original pages.

The information here is sourced mainly from the Honda Japan website (http://www.honda.co.jp) and has been expanded by my own knowledge and whatever other internet sources I can find. Any inaccuracies are mine and if you feel you can correct and add to information already here, please feel free to do so.

The blog posts in question are all listed below so that this post can be used as an index to all the Honda information posts.

Honda Civic

The Civic has been Honda’s bread and butter model since its launch in 1972.

Honda CRX

The Civic Renaissance eXperimental (CRX), also originally known as the Ballad Sport, became an instant hit with buyers after a small sports coupe. That popularity continues today with many enthusiastic owners rejecting more modern cars with greater power and ability for the light weight and agile coupe CRX models, thus ensuring its deserved status as Hondas‘ premier cult car.

The first 2 generations of CRX are sporty coupes based on the Civic chassis. The final incarnation of the CRX (also known by many as the DelSol) remains based on the Civic chassis but has departed from the sports coupe design to become a 2 seater convertible.
